About Breathwork

The breath is our greatest tool for self-healing, self-improvement and self-realisation.

Breathwork is the most holistic and complementary approach to health care currently available to us and an essential part of any genuine spiritual development program.

At Breath Evolution, we believe that the journey of breath work is simply to come back to the basics and learn to trust the wisdom of our bodies again. When we are able to use the breath to consciously relax we find a space of safety in the body with which the body knows intuitively what to do. In other words, breathwork offers us the opportunity to create conditions in the body for healing to occur.

The way we approach breathwork reflects the way we approach life.  By observing our breath we bring consciousness to mind and body, we come home to ourselves. Breathing opens up new opportunities, possibilities and pathways breeding curiosity, in yourself and the world around you.

Amalgamating breathwork techniques from around the world, our aim is to help you incorporate breath awareness and control into your daily life, for healing and growth, personal awakening and transformation of spirit, mind and body.

You already have all the answers within you, you just have to ask the right questions and search in the right places.

Our philosophy

At Breath Evolution, we work to enhance the breath, body, mind and spirit connection by harnessing the power of your breath for healing and personal transformation.

The physical benefits of breathwork are often immediate. By breathing consciously, you can activate your parasympathetic nervous system, and in turn, slow down your heart rate and lower your blood pressure—creating a feeling of calm. You also rely on your diaphragm instead of your chest, inviting your neck and chest muscles to relax and engage your abs and a larger amount of oxygen to reach your body’s cells and organs.

In addition to reversing the physical stress response in your body, controlled breathing can also help calm and slow down the emotional turbulence in your mind. While in this state, you may be able to access buried emotions, patterns, and traumas, and ultimately release yourself from their grip on your mental state. Studies show breathwork can help treat mental health issues including depression, anxiety, and PTSD.

When we breathe we are connecting with a cycle of life which includes every living thing on the planet; every human, every animal, every plant, every tree – each breath we breathe out is breathed in by another. Arising from the dynamic process of creation, breathing is our unique connection with the source of life, and breathwork is an invitation for you to know the potential of your own creative life force.

About Natalie

Natalie discovered the benefits of breathwork through her own self-healing journey.  After fifteen years of yoga practice and exploration of many different healing modalities, she connected instantly with the transformative power of breathwork after it was introduced to her as part of her regular yoga practice.  “Breathwork is an embodied practice that we can consciously feel and sense, it’s visceral and therefore extremely powerful at getting us out of our minds and into our bodies”, says Natalie.

Frustrated by the limitations of her own body, Natalie began to look into the breathwork practices around the world to uncover the full potential of her own breath. Her journey has become the model for Breath Evolution’s approach to breath therapy, which begins by uncovering breath awareness and dynamics, freeing up the breathing mechanism before moving into more skillful breathing techniques. Training deep relaxation into the system, the approach builds resilience and tones the autonomic nervous system, allowing you to reach deeper states of relaxation and awareness.

Natalie is fascinated by the art and science of breathing and is dedicated to learning from breath masters around the world.  It is her dream is to teach all she has learned to anyone ready and willing to do the work.  She believes that we must repair the broken threads of humanity because our future, and the future of our children, depends on it.
